Getting Started

What is Joint Exercise?

Joint Exercise is a platform designed to help you improve joint health through personalized exercise programs. Our programs are created with input from healthcare professionals and are tailored to your specific needs, goals, and any conditions you may have.

Who is Joint Exercise for?

Joint Exercise is for anyone looking to improve their joint health, whether you are dealing with joint pain, recovering from an injury, looking to improve mobility, or simply wanting to maintain healthy joints. We serve individuals of all ages and fitness levels.

Do I need any special equipment?

Most of our exercises can be done with no equipment at all. During onboarding, you can tell us what equipment you have access to (such as resistance bands, dumbbells, or a yoga mat), and we will customize your programs accordingly.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is simple. Click the "Get Started" button, enter your email and create a password. You will then complete a brief onboarding process where you tell us about your goals, any conditions, and available equipment so we can personalize your experience.

Workouts & Programs

How long are the workouts?

Workout duration varies based on your preferences and available time. During onboarding, you tell us how many minutes per day you can commit. Most workouts range from 15 to 45 minutes, but we can create shorter sessions if needed.

Can I modify exercises if they cause pain?

Yes. Our platform includes pain check-ins during workouts. If an exercise causes discomfort, you can substitute it with an alternative, skip it, or stop the workout entirely. We also provide modified versions of exercises for different ability levels.

What if I have a medical condition?

During onboarding, you can indicate any medical conditions you have. Our system takes these into account when recommending exercises and will flag any exercises that may not be suitable. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program.

How often should I work out?

This depends on your goals and current fitness level. During onboarding, you set how many days per week you want to exercise. Most people start with 2-3 sessions per week and gradually increase. Consistency is more important than frequency.

Pain Tracking

How does pain tracking work?

You can log your pain levels at any time using a simple 0-10 scale. The app also prompts you during workouts to check in on how you are feeling. Over time, you can view trends to see how your pain levels change with consistent exercise.

What happens if I report high pain?

If you report high pain during a workout, the app will suggest alternatives: substitute the exercise, skip it, or stop the workout. We also provide guidance on when you should consult a healthcare professional.

Can my healthcare provider see my pain data?

Only if you explicitly grant them access. If your healthcare provider uses our clinician portal and you have given consent, they can view your progress and pain trends to better support your care.

Account & Subscription

Is there a free tier?

Yes. Our free tier gives you access to basic features including a selection of exercises, basic progress tracking, and pain logging. You can use the free tier indefinitely.

What does Premium include?

Premium gives you full access to our exercise library with video demonstrations, unlimited workout tracking, personalized exercise programs, advanced analytics and insights, the ability to connect with healthcare providers, and priority support.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Settings page. This will permanently remove all your data from our systems. Please note that this action cannot be undone.

For Healthcare Professionals

How can I use Joint Exercise with my patients?

Healthcare professionals can access our clinician portal to manage patients, create custom program templates, monitor patient progress, and receive alerts when patients report high pain levels. Contact us to learn more about clinic pricing.

Can I create custom exercise programs?

Yes. The clinician portal allows you to create custom program templates that you can assign to individual patients. You can select exercises from our library and customize sets, reps, and duration.

How do patients consent to sharing data?

Patients must explicitly grant consent before any of their data is visible to healthcare providers. They can revoke this consent at any time from their account settings.
